New French Homes can help you find the finance for your dream home in France.

When it comes to paying for your new French home the financial outlay is spread over the course of the project.

The first payment is for your chosen plot of land. This is a single payment, normally due 3 months after you have confirmed your intention to buy in writing.

After the work has started the next payment is due when the foundations are laid, further payments are then due when the walls are built, when the roof goes on, when the doors and windows are fitted, and then when the interior is finished.

Your final stage payment will be due when your home is complete and you take possession of the keys.

During the build, other charges will be payable. For example, connection to local services, such as water and electricity. These will be required for the construction and these fees are payable immediately. The actual amounts will vary and depend on the proximity of the services to the construction site.

If there is any other work that you require, such as the construction of a swimming pool or landscaping the garden, this is normally payable in 3 instalments, depending on the value of the work. This type of work is usually done after the construction is complete.

If you wish we can arrange for you to finance your build with a mortgage or a bridging loan through a local French bank. Financing a new build is common in France and is, therefore, quite straightforward. All loans are at the discretion of the bank and depend on personal circumstance.
